How Obama Has Influenced Trump

Then there is Obama the campaigner in chief. Who did lots of campaign-type events filled with crowd adulation during his presidency including his farewell address. Trump seems to be one upping him with his pre-inauguration "thank you" tour. Maybe there will not only be tons of campaigning events during the Trump presidency, but a farewell address tour too.

I wonder if President Trump will make himself a commander-in-chief badge like President Obama did.

Unlike Barry, Ferret-top hasn't gone on a global apology tour - and I somehow doubt that he will.

I suspect that he whipped out the "office of the president-elect" signs to smack-back Barry, who's been running around stabbing Ferret in the butt with a fork at every opportunity. You know, like Bush did to Barry.

Yes, G. W. was a different kind of man than both of them. Not that he didn't have his faults, but he wasn't the purposeful war liar Trump claims or the reason for all the nation's problems as Obama claimed. His main difference with both of them is that he isn't a consummate narcissist. Other than political differences, in which Trump is superior in my opinion, they are two peas in a pod on overweening pride. I'll be surprised if he doesn't make up his own commander-in-chief badge.

Bush brought substance, while all Barry brought was style. And bad style, at that.

It has got to be extremely galling that the mere change of the president to the opposing party has left Pres. Obama with basically no legacy except problems. Bush left lots of problems too (even beyond the obvious economic wreck). No child left behind is a failure. Lots of problems with homeland security overreach. And Medicare Part D is an entitlement program increasing our national debt. Nothing left from the Iraq war. But, it took a number of years before the truth became apparent. It's hard to leave a lasting legacy. Poor Obama is seeing it within the first month of his successor's presidency with his signature Obamacare probably being repealed. Though Trump has indicated he will keep the Iran deal. :-/
